Dear ANSYS users

I have been trying to update the geometry of a beam element to perform a non linear buckling analysis.

I used UPGEOM command to create a deformed geometry for beam element. But the geometric model remains symmetrical and perfect. The UPGEOM command doesn't change the geometry.

But when I used the same step to create a deformed geometry for shell and solid element I could create a deformed geometry for shell and solid. I could not guess what is wrong with the beam element.

Can anyone help me with this.

Thanks in advance.
